Overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
You have probably had training over the years or heard about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) since it was passed in 1990, but do you remember the scope of what the ADA covers or know some of the newer aspects of the law?
Join us for this quick refresher on the ADA sponsored by Accessible Resources for Independence and learn how the ADA now defines disability. There will also be an overview of the ADA regarding employment, State and local government, places of public accommodation (businesses open to the public), telecommunications, transportation and how the law is enforced.
